About us

Writing software since 1984

An independent, family-run business, based in Bedfordshire and trading continuously for over forty years.

Our story

From bespoke systems to RevUp Blaze

Prosolve was founded in 1984 as a bespoke software development company. We became experts in multi-valued database design.

Much of our early work was developing Revelation and OpenInsight software for large organisations. These included KPMG, Balfour Beatty, BAE, Simon Engineering, Daimler-Benz and Peterborough Software. Our work for the Welsh National Poisons Unit even featured in The Times.

For many years our main development tools were the Revelation family of multi-value databases: Revelation, then Advanced Revelation and OpenInsight. Alongside bespoke development, we integrated Revelation-based products with Citrix for other software houses.

In 1989 we wrote RevUp, a membership system for car and bike clubs. Today its successor, RevUp Blaze, is still finding new customers, alongside long-standing clients such as KPMG and the London Borough of Hounslow. And we still take on bespoke projects.

One business, since 1984

Over the years the business has changed its legal form: from Prosolve Ltd to a partnership, as family members joined it, and then in 2003 to Prosolve Software Ltd. It's been the same independent business throughout, with no break in trading, the same key personnel and many of the same customers.

Community

Part of our local community

We're a local business and proud of it. For many years we sponsored Blunham Village FC, who wore the Prosolve name on their shirts.

And as classic car enthusiasts, we've spent decades working with the car, motorcycle and motorsport clubs that use RevUp.
